Washington Park Man Cave Remodel

This was a fun project, folks! I had the privilege to redesign a kitchen in one of Washington Park’s oldest and most historic condo buildings, Woodmere Court, that was originally built in 1929. If you’re from Springfield, IL, you should be very familiar with the beauty and originality of Washington Park homes. Each condo building and home has an originality unlike any of it’s neighbors. Washington Park home owners tend to preserve the uniqueness and beauty of their homes allowing the history to be on display for residents, tourists, and park goers for years to come.

Woodmere Court sits on South Grand Avenue facing the entrance of the park, giving it a front row seat to one of the best views Springfield has to offer. Just take a look at how adorable this condo is…

I’m a sucker for old European Tudor style homes. I swear I have childhood memories from living in a home like this, but Liza says I must be reminiscing about a vacation when we stayed at a Jumer’s Chateau. She can claim what she wants. I plea reincarnation.

Anyways, back to the remodel. Take a look at my before and after photos of this small and quaint kitchen that packs a big punch. We worked for over a month on designs trying to jam pack as much storage as we could into this tiny space without sacrificing design or functionality. The end result was an adorable kitchen that reflected my client’s style perfectly.
